Plastic free July has been very eyeopening!

Another day down! After plastic free July is over I plan to continue most of the challenges that I have signed up for. The hardest one that I am finding right now is the bar shampoo and conditioner.

Bought more glass containers to put my lunches in. They may be more expensive than the plastic option but they will last a lot longer.

Just saw an article about Hampton Roads Restaurants getting in on the no straw movement.

My collection of reusable shopping bags is steadily growing. How many bags do you have?

We are more than halfway through with this challenge and I am slowly making changes that I hope to sustain.

Starbucks recently announced a plan to eliminate their use of plastic straws. This announcement will lead to more businesses following their lead.

I think more stores should be like Lidl & Aldi when it comes to buying shopping bags. By not providing free bags for groceries and goods consumers are forced to pay for their own bags and often times the paper bag is cheaper than the plastic bag. Which leads most consumers to choose the paper bag or just forgo the bagging process altogether.
