Last day! Here we go folks!

Yay! Everyone is getting into the swing of plastic free July!

  • Rina Pelletier 7/18/2018 7:41 AM
Things have been so crazy it’s been hard to keep up with my plastic free July life! But hey, I’m proud of the changes I’ve made and continue to make.

WOOT PLASTIC FREE JULY! I am so pumped. I ahave had so many good conversations with peopl about plastic and making more eco friendly choices!

  • Rina Pelletier 7/14/2018 7:11 AM
Last nights grocery shopping went well. Almost no plastic! Hooray!

  • Rina Pelletier 7/13/2018 9:23 AM
Plastic Free July has got me thinking about other peoples perspectives. I have had numerous conversations with other people about straws, toothbrushes, shampoo/conditioner, water bottles and all of their reusable or plastic free counterparts BUT at the end of the day a lot of people still don't think that their singular straw or toothbrush makes a big difference. A small action taken by a larger number of people has a CRAZY BIG impact! Shouldn't we all be stoked to do our part? I know it seems like fighting a losing battle but when Frodo left for Mordor he was up against impossible odds and he/the fellowship did it! LOTR life lessons.

Really getting into the swing of things for plastic free July! I got some meat from a butcher and it wasn't near as expensive as I thought it would be. I think I could make this change permanent. WOOT

This weekend was not a great example of the plastic free lifestyle for me. I also gave myself a headache when thinking about how to reduce my environmental impact at my wedding next summer. I am committed to making a change haha so everyone can drink out of mason jars instead of plastic and I will figure out the rest as I go along.

  • Rina Pelletier 7/04/2018 8:38 AM
Woo! Super excited so far! Kind of bummed that some of my favorite food products are individually wrapped and I just don't know if being my favorite is a good enough reason for me to buy something detrimental to the environment! Ugh. I wish everyone was on board with plastic free july! Someday =]

    • Amanda Fugle 7/10/2018 12:34 PM
This is definitely a challenge! i wish these companies made it easier for shoppers to go plastic free!

    • Jessica Fowler 7/05/2018 5:31 PM
So far, plastic free July is changing my diet as much as it's changing habits. Probably for the better since it seems to be all the delicious junk foods that come in plastic.

  • Rina Pelletier 7/02/2018 11:58 AM
Today I was unprepared and forgot to refuse a straw. I was too excited about other things to think about it. This is going to be a hard adjustment but worth it!
