I attempted to make my own Clorox wipes out of a recycled coffee can, paper towels and ingredients I had at home.  I don't know where I would be without my Clorox wipes, so hopefully this will keep everything squeaky clean!

I just finished watching Minimalism (available on Netflix) and it truly confirms how fascinating it is to see how others live their lives. As someone who has always said I could see myself living in a tiny house, I just love see how people have reduced all of the many things in their lives.  What they buy is only out of necessity and purpose.  And I can see the connection of reducing material stuff from our everyday and eliminating plastics from our everyday.  They both go hand in hand and can make a big difference in our own lives and the world we live in.

I adore this documentary, and just the two guys in general.  They came to Columbus last summer and they were great.

Shout out to the Village Coffee Shop here at the Columbus Zoo for accommodating Plastic Free July, and putting my iced coffee in my own tumbler!

I received my bar shampoo yesterday! I tried it out for the first time last night and I can't complain. I'm working on finding an alternative to plastic bottled conditioner, as I found my hair could use a little moisture.  But they smell great and they come in a recyclable container!

I made my own toothpaste out of coconut oil, baking soda and peppermint oil. The taste will take some getting used to and the baking soda was a little abrasive on my gums, but my teeth felt clean! I also mixed up some mouthwash made of water, baking soda and peppermint oil. Again, an unusual flavor, but I could get used to it. Both options are so economical too, all things I already had at home!

I stopped in the library today where a local coffee shop is located and they were more than willing to accommodate my own mug for the cold brew coffee I just had to have.
